Who they are

S&R Beauty is a family business from Cairo. Their family name, Riyhan, is the Arabic word for basil, so basil is where the range began: skin, body and hair care made from more than ninety percent natural ingredients.

Before

The old store ran on a ready-made template: a heavy green header, banners with the words baked into the pictures, the collections shown twice, rows left half empty, and Arabic and English mixed on the same page. Drag across the comparisons below to see it next to the new one.

The new store

One calm palette of basil green and sand, with room for the products. The homepage follows the way you use them: collections, best sellers and gift boxes, then a routine in four steps you can add to the cart in one go. The About page tells the family’s story, from Basil & Co to S&R.

The hero film

The homepage opens on a short film: the keratin shampoo on warm stone, a wash, then a hand reaching for an Egyptian loofah, all in soft, warm light.
